Words of Wisdom from Guru Mataji…

Any one who has had the great fortune of being in the presence of Srimati Vishnupriya Mataji (HDG Sriman Sankarshan das Adhikari’s wife) can surely appreciate Mataji’s ability to capture the essence of the problem and deliver an equally eloquent and concise solution. Here in Austin we have the opportunity to hear Mataji give Srimad-Bhagavatam class every other day, so many such short but sweet pearls of wisdom derive from this, today was no exception.

When asked how we know when we are developing the proper mood of loving devotional service Mataji’s response was:

“Feeling for devotional service can be judged by our willingness to engage in service.”

In other words….to the degree we are genuinely eager for more service shows how advanced we are in developing the proper service mood.

PS: If anyone has any good pics of Vishnupriya Mataji could you drop me a line or send me a link or attachment via e-mail {rdd108(at)gmail.com}. The only pic I have is Mataji playing kartals in Estonia (Thanks to Kishori’s husband totally capturing the decisive moment).

  1. Hello Radha Priya Mataji,

I was wondering if you could pass this on to Nityananda Ram and some of the old people back in Dallas? I have decided to leave ISKCON and am sharing a letter that I wrote in this relation.
